Okay, so I’m just back from over three and half weeks of pure bliss. Felt like I bought the unlimited package from Three and got the much needed sun, sea, sand. Topped up loads on family time playing badminton, cards, cycling, reading with loads of relaxing. So now that my battery is recharged, the comedown is not easy and I’m not adjusting well. I have already been on the internet pricing holidays for Mid-term and Christmas. Unfortunately, for my five stars, the price is also five euro signs. I decided to do a wardrobe tidy and I’m struggling to find clothes in my wardrobe that I can wear here. My beach/pool clothes are really only suited to a warmer climate and not the hit and miss weather here in Ireland. I’m trying hard to wear my shorts but it’s a challenge to get the balance between not baring too much flesh while staying summery.
So I decided to hit the shops with my fashion eager daughter to check out suitable clothes (who am I kidding – to buy) that will take me from now to the end of the summer and into early Autumn.
I hit all my favourite shops and photographed a few pieces from Zara so I decided for this blog to focus on their Shirt Style Dresses and all under €50. I was able to find some really great dresses that can be worn from day to night. To be honest, I think a dress is financially good value as it doesn’t require matching tops with bottoms and is a fuss free way to dress. One piece and you are ready to rock!
Tunic Dress – Zara - €49.95 - Long sleeveless tunic with round neckline. Features a contrasting black fabric belt which cinches in the waist, hidden side pockets at the seam, side slits at the hem and hidden button-up fastening. Mustard Sandals – Penny’s - €13. The earrings carry the colours from the dress up and finishing with a silver Elie Beaumont Watch – m-use.
Dress – Zara - €49.95 – also available in Blue/white stripe. This shirt style dress will take you from summer right into September, you can switch out the sandals/slides with a pair of ankle boots and a long-lined cardigan. This dress has long sleeves and buttoned cuffs. It features a matching belt that ties at the waist and button-up fastening. Finish the look with silver accessories like the classic hoop matte earrings and multi-chain silver matte with leather clasp and our Hava colbalt blue bag. The Blue/White Stripe version would be a perfect match with our red Hava bag.
Dress – Zara - €49.95 – also avialbe in a mult-coloured foral print. This Sea green floral print loose-fitting shirt tunic with elbow-length sleeves, buttoned tabs on the sleeves, matching fabric belt, hidden side pockets and button-up fastening in the front is fresh and requires very little styling. Simply let the pattern do the work and style this dress with a grey strapped nappa leather Elie Beaumont watch, a clasp opening mixed metal bracelet in silver and rose-gold and metallic silver bag.
Dress – Zara - €49.95 – This Long flowing dress with mandarin collar and V-neck opening at the neck. Features short sleeves with double ruffles, fabric belt, A-line silhouette and hidden button-up fastening in the front. This is quintessentially easy wear, a denim style dress is so easy to accessorize as it is complimentary to most colours. I have put one of our statement necklaces with a pop of colour which will sit perfectly under the Mandarin collar neckline. Our stone colour wallet is a perfect match with our pop of colour Hava bag with tan leather handles. Tan sandals or the blue ankle book with have you stepping out with a bounce to your step.
Dress – Zara -- €49.95 – This Ecru/Black long, striped tunic with lapel collar and long sleeves. Features buttoned tabs on the sleeves with contrasting buttons, contrasting belt, front patch pockets, side slits at the hem and contrasting button-up fastening in the front. This neutral base colour is probably best suited to clean line metal coloured accessories. I have matched our two style bangles together and balanced it with the Elie Beaumont watch with a large white faced on a silver strap.
I did come across a pair of mustard coloured strappy heels in Penny’s that would work with all the outfits and with a price tag of €13 wouldn’t be a bad buy! All outfits have been accessorized with our gorgeous m-use accessories. All the products are available to order online, happy shopping!
