Anybody else feeling the pressure of having to have everything sorted in the house before D-day, “School Holidays”, which is fast approaching. I don’t know about you, but the pressure gets to me every year and I feel like I have to gut the house and have everything in its place. It’s a little on the scale of the preparation for the run up to Christmas. It is Armageddon! Seriously, what is all that about? My morning runs are now turning into Marathons (well kind of), the heat is on to exercise as much as possible. I have had to hit the shopping centre every other day (not unusual) to ensure that I have all the summer clothes bought in advance of the holidays. The thoughts of bringing my eager daughter (who wants everything) and not so eager son (“are we done yet”), is not so appealing.
Whats App and Facebook are on fire with Mum’s collecting funds for “Teacher Pressies” and “End of Year Class Drinkies”. A drink In celebration of getting through and completing another school year or a drink to drown their sorrows in advance of what’s to come. Whatever the reason, be prepared with your outfit. Basically, if you have managed to get out the door with clothes on you are doing well, makeup is an added bonus.
The key for a quick turnaround from Day Mum to Night Mum is preparation. I have pulled together three looks that will work for a Mums or Girls night out.
#1 – STRAPLESS SLEEK – keeping it sleek with a sharp neckline, cinched in waist and relaxed fit cropped trousers. Pair some m-use silvers or golds to create instant impact.
#2 – SUMMER EASE – with these easy breezy evenings, why not keep it simple in a dress. This deep V-neckline with a soft cuffing on the upper arm. Florals paired with boots keep it relaxed. Add some plush pinks and soft gold m-use accessories to enhance the look.
#3 – COLD SHOULDER CHIC – Black & white speaks volumes. This cold shoulder top is light and airy with bow tie strap detail. Add black cigarette trousers or skinnies and you are almost dressed. Finish the look with some
m-use classic hoop earrings, mixed bracelets and a clutch.
For The Teacher Pressies I have also selected a few items from our Gift Collection, our gifts selected are under €15, jewellery pieces for the Female Teachers. The Male Teachers will have to wait for our next buying trip.
Enjoy your night out, remember to drink plenty of water, you’ll thank me the next day!
